Health Supplements

There are a lot of “health supplements” for sale these days.  Some of them are familiar, and some are not.  Many of them, perhaps most, are of very limited benefit.  But medicine, drugs, the pharmaceuticals, come from the same plants that supplements come from.  We know, therefore, that supplements can help us if we select the correct supplements.  The job for us is to read the data from reliable sources, think about our needs and make choices based on our conclusions.

At NHS, we obviously believe in great health.  We are not exercise zealots, but we do exercise.  We also pay attention to what we eat, what times we eat, and how much we eat.  If you want to lose weight, live longer and look much better well into your eighties and nineties, leave the table still hungry.  Its called calorie restriction, and it will help you live longer, healthier and you will retain your already stunning level of physical beauty.

The above chart of from the CR Society International.  The non-cr animals died at about 36 months, a typical lifespan for the animals studied.  The 65 % CR animals lived longer than animals with more liberal diets.  The point here is that the less we eat, within limits, the healthier we live.  Certainly if we stop eating altogether, we die in a couple of months, so there is a point of diminishing returns to CR.  And CR is only applicable to adults, not children.  Let your children eat all the healthy food they want, but if you are in your 30′s or older, study CR and incorporate it into your life for some great results.  Make sure that you get PROPER NUTRITION.

Hence, natural healthy supplements.  Take them, encourage your friends and loved-ones to take them.  Eat properly.
